C A L I F O R N I A S P E E D W A Y

Last Friday before we took Mikiko-san out to dinner, I stopped by Samy's Camera and picked up my lens reservation :).

I rented the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L... oh my this lens was fantastic.
Did i already say.. it's a $2,000 Lens

I was very sad after returning it yesterday afternoon.
hahaha

Some day I'll own one. I rented the telephoto lens because my Dad's boss Steve asked me if I could take pics of him while racing on the AMA Pro Track. I had a blast there although it was really hot and I forgot to put on sunscreen after standing in the sun all day. Oh well... it was awesome! Also I'm no longer going to post thousands of thumbnail pictures of my sets. Instead I will just post direct links to the sets... it was a bandwidth killer.

Today I accidentally ran over a dead dog -.- i felt so bad. I don't know... I'm a bit sensitive towards dogs since I have two of my own. Would hate the feeling knowing someone hit my dead dog -.-

A week late but YAYYYY!

alright I've been out of the loop. There's been a bit happening lately mostly ALOT. Usually I'm lazy to recap on a big gap but due to a good buzz time is on my side. I'll recap on the highlights :D.
Let's start vROOOOOOOOOM!

Tuesday:
I woke up at 6am to take my Mom to work about an hour away and had huge midterm at 9pm. So after driving around Souther California for a few hours I made it to class and did really well on my exam. Reason I drove my Mom to work was so I could go out with her and her coworkers. Most of the people I went out with were the coworkers who took me out while I was in Tokyo :). Oh yeah and Mikiko-san was in town so thats why we all went out to dinner. It was good times seeing her again but it was also a bit hmm weird and nostalgic? Mikiko-san went out of her way to take us out and keep us entertained sooo many times in while we were in Tokyo. So it was a bit weird seeing her in California and showing her a good time.... it was like BACKWARDS! hahahahaha! I had a blast Tuesday night, the dinner we had was soo amazingly fun and good. It was also a blast to see everyone again.

We ate at La Luna Negra and went to some Belgium pub afterwards and it was awesome.

Friday:
It was Mikiko-san's last night here in California so my Mom and I decided to take her out for the day after she got off work. Before she got off work at 4pm, My Mom and I went to Samy's photo in Old Town Pasadena to pick up my lens that i rented. I rented the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L... a $2,000 lens. I'm in love with this lens right now and I'm going to be sad when I return this Tuesday morning. This lens is no joke... you will see the press on the side of NBA games with this. After we pick up my lens we swing over to my Mom's work to pick up Mikiko-san and head over to the Getty Museum. It was a great time and I took a few pictures.

I was my their private photographer hahaha.

Then we ended up going to Universal Studios City Walk to meet up with other coworkers and friends. We had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant(www.bubbagump.com)
